What is Leisure Solutions?
By definition the concept of “leisure solutions” typically refers to products, services, or strategies designed to enhance and optimise leisure time activities and experiences. These solutions can encompass a wide range of offerings, catering to various interests and preferences in leisure pursuits. Examples of leisure solutions include:
- Leisure facilities: These include recreational centers, sports complexes, theme parks, and entertainment venues that provide opportunities for leisure activities such as swimming, fitness classes, sports, and entertainment.
- Leisure technology: This category covers innovations and advancements in technology that enhance leisure experiences, such as virtual reality (VR) gaming, augmented reality (AR) applications for tourism and exploration, and leisure-related apps for planning and organising activities.
- Travel and tourism services: Travel agencies, tour operators, and travel websites offer leisure solutions by providing curated travel experiences, vacation packages, and personalised itineraries tailored to individual preferences and interests.
- Recreation equipment and gear: Companies that manufacture and sell recreational equipment and gear, such as camping gear, outdoor apparel, bicycles, and sports equipment, offer leisure solutions by enabling people to engage in various recreational activities comfortably and safely.
- Leisure education and programming: Leisure solutions can also involve educational programs, workshops, and classes focused on leisure pursuits such as cooking, arts and crafts, photography, and outdoor skills, helping individuals learn new hobbies and interests.
- Wellness tourism, where awareness and appreciation for health and longevity are at all time high and products and experiences (e.g. Yogi retreats) are being developed to meet this growing demand.
In essence,having regard to the areas of leisure technology and travel and tourism services (particularly relating to geotourism), the business Leisure Solutions® aims to contribute to the enhancement of the quality of leisure time by providing access to a wide range of activities, experiences, and resources that cater to diverse interests and preferences.
Currently Leisure Solutions® offers a range of strategic services which include the following.
- Tour product development of inbound/outbound ‘experiential’ travel, specifically geotourism (inclusive of eco and cultural tourism).
- Marketing of the Country Charm® Discovery Tour.
- Introduction to the wellbeing-development services of London-based company, Yogibanker.
- Specialised services and advice relating to online marketing, brand development, and the application of other information and communication technologies (ICTs) applicable to the nature-based tourism industry.
- Specialised knowledge of the geological characteristics of geotourism, reference www.gambot.au and www.geotourismaustralia.au
- Lobbying services as a Registered Lobbyist for the Australian, NSW, Victorian, and Qld Governments.
and additionally, reflecting the broad experience of its Managing Director, Leisure Solutions® provides advisory services in the area of industry development, with a particular focus on ‘value added’ manufacturing and mining including support as a member of the ‘Smart Manufacturing’ Standards Australia committee representing The AusIMM.

- Former sponsorship of the Geologize training program at the University of New England.
- Sponsorship by Leisure Solutions® ,supported by the Geological Society of Australia and the professional input of several of its members, of an upgrade of the existing walking trail at the Aboriginal community owned Angkerle Atwatye Standley Chasm – of the Tjoritja West MacDonnell National Park in the Red Centre of the NT to the status of a geotrail (length of 1.2 km) through the production of an interpretive brochure.
- Major sponsorship by Leisure Solutions®, supported by the Australian Geoscience Council and the Geological Society of Australia of the publication of a field guide for the Larapinta Walking Trail across the Tjoritja West MacDonnell National Park in the Red Centre of the NT.
- Sponsorship of the Inaugural Global Sustainable Tourism Summit 2024, Brisbane organised by Ecotourism Australia.
- A recipent of an Australian Government via Austrade grant in June 2026 to co-sponsor the development of two geotourism-focused brochures for the Ormiston Gorge in the West MacDonnell Ranges and the Trephina Gorge in the East MacDonnell Ranges.

Ecotourism Australia believes that the ultimate definition of ecotourism is compliance with the core criteria stated within its Eco Certification Program.
Leisure Solutions® supports the proposition that geotourism is also sustainable tourism that sustains or enhances the distinctive geographical character of a place—its environment (underpinned by landscape and geology) , heritage, aesthetics, culture, and the well-being of its residents.In addition, Leisure Solutions® is of the view that where sustainable tourism aims to minimise negative impacts, positive impact tourism aims to maximise positive contributions. Both concepts align in striving for responsible tourism, but positive impact tourism can build upon the foundation of sustainable tourism by taking additional proactive steps to improve destinations and communities, particularly in Australia relating to First Nations people.
