Day 3 - Heritage Charm

After breakfast you will depart just before 10am to commence another exciting day in the Scenic Rim country.

With morning tea provided, you’ll either visit one of the oldest surviving homesteads in Queensland and meet the current residents who are fifth generation owners, or visit other fascinating historic precincts which feature historical buildings and contents dating back to the 1870s.

Visit the Mt French National Park and then Lake Moogerah which lies in the valley below the peaks to enjoy a thoroughly entertaining, interpretative experience which explains the geology and landforms of the Scenic Rim country.

Included in day 3 is a visit to a very hospitable vineyard for a light lunch, wine-tasting and winery tour.
Easy drinking Shiraz and boutique Chambourcin wines are available with picturesque views of the Scenic Rim volcanic peaks and valley landscapes. The day will conclude with an exciting open all-terrain vehicle tour through the Australian bush, discovering native wildlife and meeting a herd of adorable donkeys. In the evening you’ll return to your accommodation for a barbecue or home-cooked meal served with local wines. Alternatively, depending on your selected accommodation option, you can enjoy a superb three course dinner, served to you and accompanied by specially selected Australian wines and delightful live music.
