Day 2 - Country Charm

Following a hearty country breakfast you’ll depart for the western end of the Scenic Rim, winding down through the Lamington National Park and traverse the pretty rural countryside from Canungra to Rathdowney. Here you’ll be greeted by the spectacular volcanic peaks of the western Scenic Rim country.

After a provided lunch you can check into your accommodation where our itinerary gives you the choice of a farmstay or charming self contained cottages, or a luxury country house. All accommodation options include magnificent views of the picturesque Scenic Rim, with one option allowing you to meet the resident wildlife.

Your afternoon includes a visit to a working Alpaca farm and homestead cottage garden, where you will be extended a warm welcome and enjoy a guided tour of the farm facilities and learn about this gentle and inquisitive animal.

Depending on the accommodation option you choose, your dinner options include an evening meal featuring quality local wines; or alternatively you can enjoy superb five course gourmet dining, served to you and accompanied by especially selected Australian wines and outstanding live classical and Marimba music. An optional extra offered is a visit to a solar-powered ‘eco-home’ located in a delightful bush setting to enjoy an authentic Italian cooking class using locally grown produce.
