Angus M Robinson

BSc FAIM FAusIMM (C/P) is a highly experienced commercial manager and strategist with extensive recent experience in industry association and professional society leadership and management.

Angus is the Managing Partner of Leisure Solutions® which offers a range of strategic services which includes product development of inbound / outbound specialised group travel for the +45 yo alumni market interested in eco and cultural tourism, and specialised knowledge of geoscience characteristics of ecotourism.

In recent years, Angus has also served as Chief Executive of AEEMA Ltd before successfully consolidating this peak, hi-tech industry group into the Ai Group on 1 January 2008, as inaugural General Manager of the Australian Technology Park in Sydney, and prior to 1998, he served for five years as the General Manager of The Warren Centre for Advanced Engineering, an industry-linked, technology-diffusion foundation of The University of Sydney.

In earlier years, he has held senior executive roles with the Zoological Parks Board of NSW developing the Board’s international marketing programs, as inaugural Museum Director of The Earth Exchange Museum in Sydney, and as the Area Manager of the Mt Hotham Alpine Resort in Victoria.

In 2000, Leisure Solutions® authored a publication for Tourism Queensland to assist tourism operators in ‘going online’.

Angus’ other interests include non-executive roles as Chair of the Marketing & Sales Committee of the National Parks and Wildlife Foundation and as Chairman, Future Materials®, and as a Member of the Chartered Professionals Board of The AusIMM.

A geoscience graduate of The University of Melbourne with an extensive professional background in natural resources management, Angus is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, a Fellow and Board Member, Chartered Professional (Management) of The AusIMM, and a Member of the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand.

Angus is also strongly committed to Rotary as 2008/2009 President of Rotary eClub One, the world’s first internet-based Rotary Club.
